My work centers on the use of paper as both stationary and functionally moving objects. I began working with paper engineering and pop-up books, and have since evolved my work to be more sculptural. I am very inspired by environments, both real and imagined, as well as my own sketches drawn from my illustration background. I am also very interested in textual use of my paper works, and focus on the parallel of paper to portray a written message and also illustrate sculptural forms. It is important to me to stick with my medium of paper as I want to portray something extraordinary from something that starts very ordinary.
